The pair first got together back in 2019, not long after releasing their saucy track Senorita, and while some people suggested the romance was a publicity stunt their love seemed legit.
Shawn regularly gushed about his girlfriend, revealing in October 2020 that every song he has EVER written was about Camilla – and she had no idea.
He said in his Netflix documentary Wonder, "'Everything's about you. They're all, they have always been about you.'
“She goes, ‘What do you mean?’ Like, ‘They’re all about you. Like every song I’ve ever wrote.’”
It looks like those songs are going to be sounding a lot sadder now.
Rumours of their split first started circulating when celeb gossip Instagram DeuxMoi shared screenshots of an anonymous message saying Camila was going through a breakup.
Now that it has been confirmed many fans are devastated, while others have been speculating about how the singers will channel the breakup into their music.
One fan tweeted: “Shawn and Camila broke up and i am deciding that love isn’t real BYE”
Another wrote: “I know Shawn mad as hell knowing he gotta perform in every corner of the globe next year on the Wonder tour where 98% of the songs on that album are about how much he loves Camila.”
Some even joked that the pair will really be able to enjoy the re-recorded version of Taylor Swift’s iconic breakup album Red, which dropped last week.
Meanwhile, there has been ongoing speculation about Shawn's sexuality - but we're not buying into that.
All we'll say is that we hope he and Camila both heal and come out of this as friends.
