Now, the clusterf*** of a 'festival' will be immortalised with a movie, made by none other than Seth Rogen and Andy Samberg's Lonely Island.
Seth actually posted his idea about the movie in 2017, a few days after the disastrous
In a tweet, he wrote: "This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with The Lonely Island about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG."
The Lonely Island responded, "For real, thinking about suing #FyreFestival for stealing our idea."
The real-life 'luxury music festival,' organised by Billy McFarland, CEO of Fyre Media Inc., and rapper Ja Rule failed from horrifically bad planning, mediocre security, budget tents, and those sad sandwiches.
It resulted in memes, documentaries, and even jail time for Billy who faces fraud charges.
