The 25-year-old has been dragged by celebs, fans, the internet and worst of all her own mother.
All of the backlash has obvs gotten to Sel as she has "made a significant donation anonymously" to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund, People reports.
Her donation was so large, in fact, that it "far exceeded her salary for the film."
After news broke that Sel was working with the controversial Hollywood figure, many people questioned why she made the decision that was sure to anger people.
Based on her willingness to give up all the money she made for working on the film (and then some!), her motive mustn't have been money.
Unfortunately, while Woody Allen is an awful, awful man, his work is highly regarded in the industry, so we can only assume that Sel jumped at the chance to star in a Woody Allen film, a feat that other actresses like Cate Blanchett, Scarlett Johansson, Diane Keaton, Kate Winslet, Blake Lively, Miley Cyrus and many more can boast.
While this does not, and will never excuse her decision to work with him, the sizeable donation to such a noble cause is an honourable show of respect towards the women's movement.
