But last year, when she cancelled her world tour without explanation and disappeared off the grid, many were concerned for the singer's health.
Selena had checked into rehab to focus on her mental health and exhaustion, which she openly addressed in a moving speech - and her first public appearance since.
"I had to stop. 'Cause I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside," Selena told the audience. "And I kept it altogether enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down."
Now, in her cover interview with InStyle US, Selena details the 90 days she spent away from the world, saying: "It was the best thing that I ever could’ve done.”
“I had no phone, nothing, and I was scared. But it was amazing, and I learned a lot.”
“I was in the countryside and never did my hair; I took part in equine therapy, which is so beautiful,” she reveals. “And it was hard, obviously. But I knew what my heart was saying, and I thought, ‘OK, I think this has helped me become stronger for other people.'”
Now, Selena reveals she feels a lot better, but has continued seeing a psychologist.
“I go to therapy. I believe in that and talking about where you are,” she says. “But I’m in a really, really healthy place.”
