Sharing to his Instagram account, Robert posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed linked up to various drips and IV's.
He captioned the image: "Kicking off the new year with emergency surgery. I’m recovering well and feeling so much better without my pesky appendix! 😂 "
The 14-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin didn't give much away, except that he had to have his appendix removed.
His followers were quick to flood the image with well-wishes.
"Wishing you a speedy recovery!! ❤️🍦💤😊 " one wrote.
Another added, "Glad you are recovering well. Praying that it continues to heal properly."
