Cheryl and Jason were clearly super tight before his mysterious death (which is pretty normal for twins) but there's definitely a creepy vibe about their closeness.
In all those flashbacks of them holding hands by the river and in the row boat together, they look at each other like lovers, not siblings.
She even grieves like she lost a lover, not a brother, referring to him as "her soulmate." And let's not forget how jealous Cheryl seems to be of Jason's pregnant girlfriend Polly Cooper.
Now, Executive Producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed that the show will tackle the 'twincest' storyline "head-on" and it sounds like there's a ~major~ plot twist around the corner.
An EW Spoiler Room reader asked, "Will Riverdale ever get around to addressing the clear twincest between Cheryl and Jason?" and this was Roberto's response:
"Yes, actually. Look for episode 10 to address that situation head-on. That theme, from that point forward, is developed in a very, very real creepy way. But maybe not in the way you expect."
Not in the way we expect? What's that meant to mean?!
Episode 10 is only two weeks away so not long to go now. Let us know what your theory is...
