She and Nick Scratch confront the demons in the chalk circle, where they say that they will kill the "half-spawn," which is Sabrina.
However, their exact words were, "The half-witch must not ascend."

In the current season of Riverdale, the town is obsessed with Gryphons and Gargoyles, the sometimes fatal board game.
In order to win the game, players must ASCEND to join the 'Gargoyle King'.
Maybe this is a connection between CAOS and Riverdale? Are the Gargoyle King and the Dark Lord the same character?!
