While Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been friends for years, rumours of a romance between the two didn't become prevalent until last year in 2020.
It was during Rihanna's Fenty Skin campaign, where she enlisted the help of A$AP Rocky, that their chemistry really came through during a couple of videos for Vogue and GQ.
During their GQ video, A$AP Rocky even admitted that the "hardest part" of working with Rihanna was how much fun they had together.
"I think the hardest part about working with you is not goofin’ off and laughing the whole time. Like this sh*t is comedy," he said.
"That’s the hardest part. You know, people be so cool it’s hard not to, not to laugh. That’s all. But it was fun. The hardest part is not having too much fun. You just forget that it’s still work at the end of the day."
If that wasn't sweet enough, the rapper really amped up the praise for Rih in an interview with GQ this year in May, where he couldn't help but gush over her.
At the beginning of the interview, A$AP Rocky called the singer "the love of my life" and referred to her as "my lady".
"She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones," Rocky said, "I think when you know, you know. She’s The One."
Those words alone were enough confirmation that the two were an item, and they've since gone on to appear on multiple red carpets together.
Their most recent appearance was at the Met Gala this year, where Rihanna arrived at the event on September 13 with A$AP Rocky in a matching ensemble - and they were every bit the cosy couple.
While the couple have tried to keep their romance relatively low-key, Rihanna sparked headlines recently over rumours that she was pregnant.
It was after she was named a National Hero in Barbados last week, but everyone's focus was solely on whether or not she was expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky because of her dress.
Rihanna has since shut down those rumours in a DM to a fan, where she mentioned how people constantly create false pregnancy rumours about her.
"Can I come to the baby shower sis? True or not your babies are going to be beautiful. Sorry everyone's up in your uterus right now," the fan wrote.
Rihanna answered with: "Haaaaa! Stop! You ain't came to the first 10 baby showers! You all breed me every year damn it lol."
While she might not be pregnant, Rihanna has previously spoken about wanting to become a mother in a 2020 interview with British Vogue, where she was asked where she sees herself in 10 years.
"Ten years? I'll be 42! I'll be ancient. I’ll have kids—three or four of 'em," she said at the time
A$AP Rocky has also spoken about the possibility of parenthood in his GQ interview.
"If that's in my destiny, absolutely," he said, before adding: "I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very."
Here's to hoping that one day these two will bless us with the greatest collab ever; a baby.
