She also said that she is sure the cast of the reboot will experience "drastic" life changes once it airs, just like she and her fellow cast mates (Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario) did during PLL's heyday.
Lucy stresses to live in the moment as "it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience". Which is ironic in itself considering the show's being rebooted - but we still stan the advice!
The spinoff, which is titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, is currently in development at HBO Max.
"Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — finds themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago, as well as their own," the logline read.
The show is to star Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Bailee Madison, Malia Pynes, and more.
Considering the series' first spinoff, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, was cancelled after one season, it will be interesting to see how this one plays out
Perhaps even the OG cast will make some cameos? Though nothing's been confirmed as of yet. But we're sure fans would love to see some familiar faces make a return to their screens.
Along with the main "Liars", another key character in the franchise was Jenna Marshall, played by Australian actress Tammin Sursok.
Girlfriend recently caught up with Tammin, who alluded to some BTS "drama" on the set of PLL.
“Everyone wants to know all the secrets behind the scenes and it’s funny to me that people think that no matter where you work, everything’s always fine and dandy,” Tammin told us.
“No matter what field you work in, no matter where you are in your workplace there’s always some shenanigans and some drama. And that’s the same for TV shows. There’s always something that goes on behind the scenes.”
Well, regardless of what's happening behind the curtain... we know there's bound to be some drama unravelling on our screens. And we cannot wait.
