Confirming the news to GQ magazine, Pete confessed that their romance began at day 1, when they met on set of SNL.
“The day I met her, I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow,'” he says.
The best part was that Ariana played along.
He said, “She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, ‘Do you like any of these?’ She was like, ‘Those are my favorite ones,’ and I was like, ‘Sick.'”
As we now know, when the pair finally did start dating, Pete didn't waste any time. Paying $93,000 for a custom made 3.03-karat diamond ring from NYC jeweler Gren Yuna, which took two weeks to create.
