In case you missed it, the current climate on celebrity relationships is dire.
Couples are cheating and break up left, right and centre, making it really hard for us mortals to believe that love still exists.
But one couple that really broke our heart when they announced their split is Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid. These two were #EndGame FFS.
In an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Zayn revealed that he wrote his most recent song “Let Me,” about Gigi, “seven, eight months ago,” when they were still an item… and that he never expected to be single today.
“I was in love — and I think that’s pretty evident,” he said. “And yeah, I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do.”
What made everything go so incredibly wrong then? “Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but yeah, that’s what I was thinking when I wrote it.”

“We go through experiences so we have memories and we have stories and things to write down and you know, contemplate and think about,” he continued. “You get to really put your experience into something that’s going to be remembered forever.
