In the age of the Jake Paul, and anyone like him, we’re sad to admit that YouTubers have become complete idiots*.
*not every YouTuber, but unfortunately a lot of them.
Always trying to one up each other with the pranks – in the hope to become famous for five minutes – YouTuber Dillon Burch has just taken the cake on being the biggest f-ing idiot around.
Running around, drunk, in a Disney resort in Florida, Dillon frantically warned people that there was an active shooter, all to get their reactions on film.
An arrest affidavit states that he was “highly intoxicated” when he made his decision, and ultimately, it forced Disney’s Contemporary Resort into a security lockdown, as the Orlando Sentinel reports.
“Dillion Burch was ‘highly intoxicated’ and running up to guests at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and telling them they had to evacuate because of the shooter shortly after midnight,” the affidavit said.
“Burch then told the people he was joking and wanted to see what their reactions were for a school project.
“The incident caused a ‘significant disturbance’ and the resort had to go on lock down.”
According to Click Orlando, witnesses told officers that Dillon had admitted the hoax was “an experiment for his YouTube channel.” He then reportedly fled the scene when he saw police lights, but he was later found hiding in bushes.
“Security later found Burch hiding in a row of bushes on hotel property and called deputies to make contact with him.
“Deputies arrived and found Burch crawling out from his hiding spot, the report said. Burch was searched and taken into custody by deputies. During the search, authorities located a beer in his red backpack.”
Ultimately, Dillon pleaded no contest to charges of disturbing the peace and disorderly intoxication. He was sentenced to three days in jail, and has been banned from all Walt Disney properties.
Sounds just as smart as filming a dead body in a forest, doesn’t it?
