Although Selena Gomez has been getting VERY cuddly with Justin Bieber since her split with The Weeknd, he isn’t actually the reason why they split.
According to TMZ, Abel and Selena’s 10-month relationship started to fizzle when it became harder for the pair to see each other.
With him being on tour and Selena having a busy work schedule, they started seeing and talking to each other less.
A few weeks ago, Abel called Selena and apparently told her that the relationship was “no longer working for him.” He felt “unfairly tied down in a relationship that had lost its passion,” and that he missed being single.
Yikes. That explains that video of him grinding on a mystery girl that came out yesterday then.
Although it seemed like things ended on a bad note between them, with Abel unfollowing Selena’s mum and friends on Instagram, sources have revealed that the two are on good terms.
The publication also reports that Justin wasn’t involved in the break-up at all either.
The two only started publicly hanging out after the relationship was well and truly over, and although it started as friendly… fans (and us) can’t help but wonder if #Jelena will be reignited.
