After news broke that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd had called it quits after 10 months together, all eyes were on Sel’s ex Justin Bieber as he had recently *rekindled* his relationship with her.
Now, speaking to E! News, a friend of Abel has confirmed that while Justin was not the reason behind the split, he is mad that Sel is publicly spending time with her ex so soon after the breakup.
“Abel is upset about Selena hanging out with Justin, especially twice in the same week,” the insider claims.
Abelena reportedly split up sometime last week and have been discussing their split for months now, long before Sel started hanging out with Justin again.
But despite no longer being in a relationship with the “Fetish” singer, Abel is not okay with her reuniting with the Biebs.
“Selena and Justin have reconnected because they have gone through similar stuff in the past couple years with being physically and mentally exhausted from touring and just dealing with the anxiety and pressure of growing up in the public eye,” another source told E! News.
“They have always had a strong connection, and they are leaning on each other as friends. They are both there for each other to talk and support one another.”
