It’s here… the official trailer for Heath Ledger’s documentary, I Am Heath Ledger has landed and it’s just as emotional as you imagined.
Next January will mark 10 years since his tragic death, and if this trailer proves anything, it’s that the world still remembers him for all his lovable characteristics.
Spike released the 3 minute trailer yesterday (which would have been Heath’s 38th birthday), and we are even presented with some never-before-seen video footage of him.
The trailer will also feature interviews with close friends and family, including Naomi Watts, Ben Harper, Djimon Housou, Emily Hirsch, according to a press release.
Heath was found dead in his New York apartment on January 22, 2008. A medical examiner’s report claimed that he died of “acute intoxication.”
The documentary will premiere in the US at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23rd, and will open in theatres on May 3rd.
