The show, while it centered on finding love, is packed full of drama… and most of it comes at the hands of producers.

“Producers often go around spreading rumours about the contestants in order to create dramas they can capture on camera,” a well-placed insider told New Idea

This was cemented as a fact last week, when former MAFS bride Jessika Power threw the Nine Network under the bus by claiming that current groom Drew Brauer told her he was asked to cheat on his wife KC Osborne by producers.

“So the new intruder, Drew, he’s spoken to me a few times and he mentioned that there were situations that he was put in by producers that he didn’t want to be put in,” she told Get Up With Krysti and Bodge.

“They were trying to make him the new Dan. And everyone knows Dan and I swapped partners on the show. They basically wanted a swap out of Drew and he said no.”

The radio hosts then spoke to the 31-year-old musician, who who couldn’t confirm or deny it, saying: “I’ve literally got a gun to my head from Channel Nine right at this minute, I can’t give away any spoilers.”

“I think I’m on there to be one of the good people and I definitely don’t do anything like that. If that did present itself, it would definitely be something that I would turn down.”

But this isn’t the only incident.

Mother-of-two Poppy Jennings recently came out to explain that the producers stopped her from revealing a “terrifying” incident that caused her to leave the experiment, and Luke, for good.

According to her, she was told if she exposed the truth, they would change how she was portrayed on the show.

“I was uncomfortable with all the things about this person I was matched with that didn’t add up. But I was told, ‘Poppy, on camera and off camera doesn’t exist to the public,'” she said in a Facebook rant after leaving the show.

“I was so scared I was saying sh*t like, ‘this could work’ because they [producers] told me Australia was going to f***ing hate me. F**k, I’d probably hate me too! From what I heard that’s all they play of me!”

Since then, Poppy has enlisted lawyers to get the truth out.
