Monday night saw the premiere of Taylor Swift’s music video for new pop song “You Need To Calm Down”.
It was jam-packed with celebrity cameos, and LGBTQ themes. So much so, that it’s now being dubbed by her fans as her ‘coming out” song.

Taylor is known for leaving very important Easter eggs in her music video’s, often hinting at new songs, friendships, enemy’s etc… but this one is a little different. A lot of Tay Tay’s fans are saying that she has hinted at coming out as bisexual in this clip.
So, what are the clues?
There have been long-standing rumours that Tayor was once secretly dating her old best friend and supermodel Karlie Kloss. They were called #Kaylor.
Taylor’s fans know that a daisy – yes, the flower – is a known symbol for the ‘Kaylor’ relationship. Taylor has even ‘liked’ a fan’s image on Tumblr which highlighted the daisy-Kaylor connection.
Fans pointed out that the scene in the video where Taylor walks out of a burning trailer is her literally walking out of the closet.
More obviously, Taylor dances around with friend and choreographer, Todrick Hall in the music video.
In the scene, her hair is an homage to the bi flag (pink and blue).
In fact, Taylor’s latest album cover ‘Lover’ is pink and blue.
It’s a pretty compelling fan theory, but one to also take with a grain of salt!
One thing we can all agree on? The song AND music video is amazing.
