It was only last month that Love Island Australia couple Tayla Damir and Dom Thomas announced that they had called it quits.
The couple released a joint YouTube video explaining their decision and the fact that they were heading in different directions and that there was “no drama” behind their separation.
Tayla recently joined Girlfriend’s Beauty Boss podcast and discussed her decision to join the first season of Love Island Australia.
“I’m all for trying new things and I’d been very unlucky in the love department – turns out I still am!” she told GF.
“I thought why not give it a try and see if I could change that luck but clearly not.”
Despite being unlucky in love, Tayla’s career is going from strength to strength.
The 22-year-old told Beauty Boss that if Love Island had never happened, she’d still be pursuing similar things.
“I’d still definitely be going down the media avenue, sticking to radio and trying to focus on my career, which is what I’m doing now.”
