One of those celebs happens to be Shawn freaking Mendes, and he’s keen on dating a girl in his fandom.
The singer opened up about relationships to the UK Sunday Times this week, where he admitted that while he’s “totally single” RN, he’d never say never to dating one of his fans.
“Sure, I’d date a fan,” he said. “Why wouldn’t you date someone who admires you? Isn’t that what couples always say? ‘She’s my biggest fan.'”
We feel you Shawn… and he isn’t worried about them being totally starstruck by him either. “The star shock only lasts a few hours. Then they realize I’m just a regular dude.”
And we don’t think he’d have trouble finding the right fan either. According to him, “1,500 fans showed up at his hotel” in South America, and fans have even rocked up to his parent’s house before.
