Shawn Mendes is officially adding a new talent to his resumé: actor!!
During a Q&A with fans, Shawn answered the burning question about whether or not he will soon be in any films.
“I think there will be one sooner than you guys think,” he said.
Shawn didn’t give away any hints about which movie that might be, but judging by his answer, it’s already in motion.
During the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, Shawn revealed to Variety that he plans to stop touring soon to take on more roles.
“Very soon. Shawn Mendes has to stop touring as much to start acting,” he shared.
He doesn’t seem too bothered about what role he takes either.
“Anything, I think finding the right role is the right role and not about the type of film or whatever. But, yeah, I want to do it soon.”
Some scripts have even caught his eye.
“There’s are a few scripts, definitely,” he said. “And a few incredible scripts so maybe something is gonna come soon.”
Shawn actually appeared in the incredible show The 100 back in the day, so he definitely has what it takes.
