Celebs like Selena Gomez seem so perfect and happy like 24/7 so it’s always refreshing when they let their guard down and open up about their insecurities (because we all have them!).
And in a new interview, that’s just what Sel has done.
The “Bad Liar” singer admits that she only recently became a confident queen and still has moments of self-doubt, just like the rest of us.
“I have a lot of insecurities…I’m sensitive AF,” she told her friend and director of her “Fetish” vid, Petra Collins in a new interview for DAZED.
“I feel everything so intensely, which is one of my favorite things about myself. Feeling is something I love,” she adds.
She went on to talk about her upbringing, explaining how growing up in Texas low-key held her back.
“With the way I grew up, I always felt like there was something inside of me that hadn’t been accessed,” Sel says.
“I hadn’t had the opportunity or confidence to find it. For so long I felt like I [wasn’t able] to do something like this.”
And this isn’t the only time that Sel has admitted that she’s doing better now than ever before!
In a recent interview with In Style she revealed that she is currently in the best headspace that she has been in for years.
“I don’t depend on one area of my life to make me happy. It’s really important for me to love and nourish my friends and family and to make sure that I never get influenced by a guy. I’ve wanted to be in a strong headspace for years, and I really wasn’t.”

We all have moments of insecurity and just like Selena, we needa focus on the positive stuff in our lives to get us through the tough times.
Slay on, Sel.
