Taylor Swift is in the middle of her Reputation tour, and as expected, she’s pulling out her celeb BFFs to join her on stage. It’s basically her signature move.
During Taylor’s down period before releasing Reputation, many fans were speculating about whether or not her and Selena Gomez were still BFFs. They didn’t hang out like they used to and weren’t so public with their friendship.
It was a worrying time.
But now, finally, fans can be reassured that they’re still the ultimate besties, because Selena just joined Taylor on stage and it was epic.
On Saturday, while Tay was performing in Pasadena, California, Selena came on stage to sing her hit song “Hands to Myself” with Taylor.
Taylor completely gushed about Selena on stage, calling her “one of the realest and truest of the friends I’ve had in my entire life.”
Crying.
Selena kept the love going with her own moving speech.
“Are you guys having a good night? I have to say thank you to my best friend of about 12 years, almost 13, and the reason why she has been one of my best friends is because this person has never ever judged a single decision I’ve made,” she told the crowd. “She’s always met me where I’ve been. She’s encouraged me when I’ve had nothing to be encouraged about, and I don’t know if I would be as strong as I am if I didn’t have you and your family because you’ve changed my life. And—she’s going to kill me after—but honestly, thank you for the bottom of my heart for supporting someone who I know is the most beautiful, strong, independent woman I’ve ever met. So thank you as a best friend.”
After their performance, Taylor took to Instagram, writing, “To the person I could call at any time of the day, who has been there no matter what… you absolutely KILLED IT tonight and everyone was so excited to see you. I love you, and 60,000 people at the Rose Bowl loved you too.”
Selena wasn’t the only special guest appearance that night either. Our very own Troye Sivan made it to the stage too.
Before that, on her Friday night show, Shawn Mendes surprised guests at her show too.
WHAT a lineup.
