There was a seriously uncomfortable moment on American Idol last night that the internet is DYING over.
The host, Ryan Seacrest didn’t realise that the commercial break was over and that the cameras were rolling, while he was awkwardly flirting with Katy Perry at the judging panel.
Katy, who was pretty aware of the cameras, desperately tried to warn him.
Katy forcefully says “We’re on,” but Ryan doesn’t pick up on it.
“Your mum’s pretty,” he begins. Oh boy. You can only imagine how much worse it gets from here.
Katy says, “My mom? Well, I hope the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” and winks at the camera, as a way to signal to Ryan that they were live.
He laughs and says, “You are too, but you’re not a mom.”
“Not yet,” she said.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” he adds. WTF.
That’s when Ryan looks around and sees that they are on live TV. Just watch his face FALL.
