Rihanna, the usually adored celebrity, has come under huge fire with her British fans.
Why? Because she has been meme’ing herself as Queen Elizabeth.
RiRi is no stranger to trolling others with memes (throwback to when she absolutely dragged a fan for dressing like her at her formal with no shame).
But fans think she’s taken it too far this time.
Rihanna has been photo shopping the Queen’s head onto pap shots of herself, and aside from making the Queen look über chic, fans aren’t having it.
“This is offensive to me as a British citizen! That is my monarch and I find it angering that Rihanna has seen fit to disgrace my queen in such a way!” One fan wrote.
“Had a lot of respect for Rihanna but after viewing these photos with the queens face attached to them had made me loose [sic] a lot of respect for her!”
“Stop disrespecting the Queen. Idc if i dislike this comment or even block me for saying this but how could u! The queen is a very very very very very important person in our lives and it’s very disrespectful to just do this. It’s all over the news and I think your [sic] just doing this for attention and to be on the news. STOP RIHANNA.”
Dayum.
Of course, diehard fans came to her defense.
“Y’all leave Rihanna alone, only the Queen can say Rihanna that is disrespectful. She hasn’t said anything, so why are you?”
