How on earth could you fat shame sweet angel Leighton Meester who is heavily pregnant with her second child? I have no idea, but one nasty social media troll did exactly that.

Jumping on an Instagram Live with her Single Parents co-star Kimrie Lewis-Davis to chat about their series and life in lockdown, while reading out a few of the comments that quickly flooded in, Leighton unexpectedly noted: “Somebody just told me I got fat. That’s really nice.”
Then, in a textbook Blair Waldorf move, the 34-year-old singled out the man who made the rude comment, pronounced his name aloud and said, “hi”.
Uh, Chuck Bass would’ve been so proud.
Upon hearing the nasty remark, Kimrie chimed in, adding, “That’s not nice, you guys.”
The Gossip Girl alum and her hilarious husband Adam Brody are currently prepping to welcome baby number two. And while the loved up duo are yet to officially confirm the news, they were recently spotted out and about, and Leighton’s baby bump was on full display.
Judging by Daily Mail Australia’s adorable snaps showing The O.C actor pushing their four-year-old daughter Arlo’s stroller while she walked beside them, she’s quite far along in her pregnancy!
It shouldn’t come as a shock to learn the duo— who met while filming the movie Oranges in 2011— haven’t formally announced they’re expanding their brood. After all, they kept the birth of their daughter a secret for some time before letting fans know she’d arrived safely!
In saying this, Leighton— who secretly wed Adam in 2014— gushed about their toddler last year, telling Us Weekly motherhood has completely changed her perspective on life.
“People started telling me before [I had] a kid, ‘You’re going to really love them. Then you’re like, ‘Yeah, obviously, I’ll love them.’ And then you do [have them] and you’re like, ‘Oh. OK. I don’t love anyone else. I just love them. And I don’t even love myself as much as I love them! Not even close.’ I don’t know, would I kill somebody or die for them? Sure. I would,” she said.
Though Leighton and Adam, 40, are notoriously private and enjoy life away from the spotlight, the actor told GQ late last year that after a lot of work, they’ve found a “great balance”.
“I’m not s**tting on anyone who monetises that aspect of their life because I get it. But we’ve found this great balance so far that really works for us. We’re also not very active on social media.
In spite of this, Leighton says she’s learned the importance of “getting out of the house” and socialising with her
“I’ve realised more than ever that playing is how [babies] learn and work. When they play, that’s their work. That’s their job. As soon as they get up, they want to play. That’s how they grow, socialise, learn and develop,” she dished to US Weekly.
