Post Malone and 16 passengers and crew members aboard a private plane have officially landed safely, after their plane reportedly blew two tires, the Associated Press reports.
The Associated Press tweeted at 3:53 p.m. on Aug. 21, “Private jet that blew 2 tires on takeoff from New Jersey on flight to England makes safe emergency landing in New York.”
The plane landed at Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, NY, instead, as The Washington Post reports.
CBS News reported that when the pilot realised what had gone wrong, he acted quickly to circle over New Jersey and Connecticut for about 30 minutes before being redirected by the FAA to Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport in Westfield, Massachusetts, about 150 miles northeast of Teterboro.
Shortly after fans and fellow celebrities heard the news, they tweeted their support for Post, who had just come off winning song of the year at the MTV VMAs.
