Pete Davidson is done playing nice about his ex Ariana Grande.
WATCH: Pete Davidson knew his engagement was over after Mac Miller died
Since the pair famously ended their engagement in October 2018, Pete has copped A LOT of sass from Ariana, which he has accepted as her way of handling things.
However, in his new Netflix special Pete Davidson: Alive From New York, the comedian has slammed the superstar for how she handled things between them after one interview rubbed him the wrong way.
Talking specifically about her Vogue interview in 2019 where Ariana called their relationship “a distraction”, Pete decided he didn’t want to sit back and cop the backlash anymore.
In her Vogue interview, she said: “I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction. It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him.”
In response, Pete challenged the fact that if it were reversed, how he would be picked apart for saying such things.
“Can you imagine if I did that? My career would be over tomorrow. If I spray-painted myself brown and hopped on the cover of Vogue magazine and just started sh*tting on my ex. Can you imagine if I did that sh*t? If I was just like, ‘Yeah, I was just f*cking her ’cause I was bored, and then Fortnite came out.’ It would be insane.”
He continued: “I don’t want any smoke, OK? My biggest fear is I’m gonna get a shot in the back of the head by a 9-year-old with a ponytail, and the last thing I’m gonna hear is ‘hashtag cancelled,'” he said.
Before his Netflix special aired, the comedian sat down with Charlamagne Tha God about how he knew his relationship with Ariana was over, once her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller passed away.
“I think I said, like, ‘I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here.’ I pretty much knew it was over around after that. That was really horrible and I can’t imagine what that sh*t is like. That sh*t is just terrible.”
Ariana has not responded to the comments.
