Earlier this week, Pete Davidson released an emotional statement on Instagram where he explained how the Internet has broken him down over the past 9 months.
So much so that even though his thoughts turned suicidal, he assured the world that they can’t beat him to that point.
It’s no surprise that Pete feels this way either. After his split with Ariana Grande, she seemed to flourish, with worldwide praise, while he got bullied online and was made the butt of an international joke.
It took Ariana nearly 24 hours to respond to his heartbreaking message.
While she urged her fans to be kinder, she later explained that it took her so long to respond because Pete had blocked her on social media.
A fan posted a screenshot message from Ariana, where she explained it.
“I have never encouraged anything but forgiveness. I care deeply about Pete and his health and would never encourage any kind of mistreatment.
“I haven’t seen any of it because I’m blocked but I want you to know that I would never want or encourage that ever and you should know that. I care about him deeply.”
Ariana retweeted the message, so we know it’s legit.
