Paris Hilton was way ahead of her time.
The pop-culture queen was taking selfies and being extremely #extra before it became a thing, so when she claims that she invented the selfie, we wouldn’t argue it.
Just recently, Paris uploaded a #throwback shot of her and fellow pop-princess Britney Spears from 2006.
“11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!” Paris wrote.
You can just tell this was taken on a portable camera, or Motorola Razr. Or just anything that didn’t have a front-facing camera. Selfies taking was so risky back then.
Some Twitter users found it as a great opportunity to show Paris that there were others who nailed the whole selfie thing back then too.
We should all be taking a selfie today in honour of Paris TBH.
