In case you were wondering who won Valentine’s Day, it was Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.
Orlando took the opportunity on the universally romantic day to propose to his girlfriend, and damn, it nearly broke the internet.
Both Orlando and Katy took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
They posted the same photo showing the pair posing closely together, Kary with a flower-shaped ring embedded by a pink stone and diamond petals.
Yes, Mr. Bloom proposed with a flower ring. We’re so here for that level of extra.
“full bloom,” Katy wrote, playing into the pun some more.
“Lifetimes,” wrote Orlando.
Following the engagement, a source told People, “Orlando had planned this for a while. He wanted it all to be special.”
Orlando even asked Katy’s parent’s permission before popping the question. “Katy’s family knew he was proposing. He talked to her parents about it before,” the source revealed.
Katy and Orlando have been dating on-and-off since early 2016 when photos of them flirting at a Golden Globes after-party went wild online.
This marks the second marriage for both of them, with Orlando once being married to Australian model Miranda Kerr, splitting in 2013, and Katy once being married to British comedian Russel Brand, breaking up in 2012.
Orlando shares an 8-year-old son – Flynn – with Miranda. Katy is yet to have a child.
Maybe they’ll make a baby Bloom?
