Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are currently in India preparing for their wedding, so we’re taking a look back on how it all started.
With Priyanka chatting to Vogue, she revealed how it all started with Twitter DMs and text messages in September 2016.
“It was Nick who sent the first message,” Priyanka said.
It led them to attend the 2017 Met Gala together as Ralph Lauren guests, where Priyanka later invited Nick back to her apartment. Her mother was there, in her nightgown, watching Law & Order…
“We hung out for a couple of hours,” Priyanka says. But, it didn’t exactly end as she expected: “He patted my back before he left.”
“There was no kiss. There was nothing,” Nick confirmed. “She’s still upset about that.”
However, Nick thought he was doing the right thing. “Your mum was in the house!” he said. “I thought it was a respectful first night.” Priyanka, however, deemed it “too respectful.”
Well, whatever he did ended up working! By date three, Nick was ready to marry her.
“She walks into the Chateau [Marmont in Los Angeles], and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life,” Nick said.
Beyond cute.
