It’s been two long years since 5 Seconds of Summer released their last album and we’ve been not so patiently waiting for new tunes ever since.
Throughout 2017 we’ve been ~teased~ with loads of studio shots from the boys’ social media and according to Michael Clifford, we can expect new music in the not-too-distant future!
The band’s guitarist explains that while they were once “pretty positive [they’d] have an album out by the end of [2017]…it just didn’t end up working” out that way.
But despite this, he confirms that the album will defs be with us in the new year.
“We’re definitely gonna have the album out next year,” the 22-year-old told Billboard.
He says it’ll be out “really, really early in the new year.”
And as for their next single, Michael says: “I think we’re just trying to find something that fits into the modern pop streaming market, but also but has something that we love and want to play for our fans; I think we’ve found it.”
And suddenly the 5SOS fam are that much more keen for 2018!
