Last week fans were disappointed to learn that 13 Reasons Why star Bryan Box (who plays Jamie Garrison) was arrested on suspicion of stealing from the elderly in California.
The actor was reportedly charged with nine counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, and theft by a caretaker of an elder.
The crimes were committed months before Bryan was arrested, however police connected the incidents with him after finding out that he had previously worked as a caretaker at the residencies.
Following his arrest, Netflix has announced that the disgraced actor will not be involved in future episodes of the series.
Reps for the popular streaming service told People in a statement that Bryan “is no longer working on the show.”
The Marin Independent- Journal reports that Bryan went to the homes of his former clients, told them about his role on 13 Reasons Why, and would steal from them during.
SF Gate reports that stolen items include jewellery, medications, a laptop, a Social Security card, and checks. One single theft amounted to $50,000 worth of stolen goods.
Bryan is set to appear in court on January 16, 2018.
