Netflix are making a TV series about COVID-19

It's about us, for us!

So, it was only a matter of time before someone made a series about the weird AF reality we’re all living in.

That’s exactly what Netflix are doing, recently announcing they’re creating a self-isolation themed series called Social Distance.

If the name doesn’t give it away, the series will “explore what life is like during quarantine amid the coronavirus.”

Created by Jenji Kohan, the brains behind Orange Is The New Black. the series will follow an anthology-style, meaning every episode has a different story arc and characters. So, expect a Black Mirror kind of vibe.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Netflix explained that “the experience of social distancing is currently universal but no individual story is the same.”

“Through a broad spectrum of tales and moments, some seismic and some mundane, we hope to capture a moment in time. And[,] we hope that Social Distance will help people feel closer to one another.”

While it hasn’t been confirmed who’s going to star in mini series, we do know the actors are currently filming their own footage at home in self-quarantine.

And without having to contend with the usual filming schedule conflicts, who knows what kind of dream combo we’ll be blessed with!

Now, where do we put in our votes for Cole Sprouse, Zendaya and Noah Centineo!?
