ICYMI: Lea Michele just got engaged to her boyfriend Zandy Reich!!!
As expected, everyone is ecstatic for her. But how does her ~enemy~ and former Glee co-star Naya Rivera feel?
Well, it seems like they could be putting their drama in the past.
After Lea Michele posted her adorable proposal selfie, Naya went ahead and ‘liked’ the image on Instagram. While that might not seem like much, anyone in the modern world will know IT’S A BIG DEAL.
In 2016, Naya wrote about her feud with Lea in her memoir, “Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up.” In it, she wrote, “One of the Glee writers once said that Lea and I were like two sides of the same battery and that about sums us up. We are both strong willed and competitive – not just with each other but with everyone – and that’s not a good mixture. As the show progressed, though, that friendship started to break down, especially as Santana moved from a background character to one with bigger plot lines and more screen time. I think Rachel – erm, I mean Lea – didn’t like sharing the spotlight.”
Yikes.
It didn’t end there either. “If I’d complained about anyone or anything, she’d assumed I was bitching about her. Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn’t say a word to me for all of Season 6. Lea and I definitely weren’t the best of friends.”
Hopefully this small gesture means the two are putting that negative drama in the past.
