Remember Miley Cyrus‘ catchy AF 2013 tune “We Can’t Stop” that soundtracked literally every squad jam? Well, it turns out it was stolen. Yep, STOLEN!
Jamaican dancehall artist Flourgon claims that Cyrus knocked off elements of his 1988 tune “We Run Things”.
Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that the eccentric muso isn’t claiming that Miley stole his beats or lyrics, but rather the general ~theme~ of the song.
Apparently the tongue-wagging 25-year-old ripped off his “unique and creative lyrical phraseology in order to establish an overarching and pervasive theme … in the realm of self-discovery and self-governings.”
Truth be told, we’re as confused about this one as you are…
