They copped the wrath of angry Married At First Sight fans when they went public with their relationship.
However, KC Osborne isn’t letting the negativity spoil her happiness, confirming she’s unperturbed by what others have to say about her boyfriend of five weeks, Michael Goonan.
Taking to her Instagram story, the overwhelmed 31-year-old defended her romance with the playboy businessman, 28, all while shutting down claims she’s with him for his fortune— an accusation his ex-wife Stacey Hampton also copped after the dating series hit our screens.
“Michael, I do believe, came into my life for a reason. This is the happiest I have ever been with someone. We are so alike, we are a team,” she said in the lengthy video rant.
“For all those gold digging comments that I do get, that’s cool, have your say. They’re words. They make me upset at the time, but guess what? When I do get upset, it just makes me stronger. I don’t need a man and I don’t need Michael to get me nice things.”
The dance teacher, who recently moved back to Australia after failing to make it big time in Los Angeles, went on to say that God put the MAFS groom in her life for a reason.
“I didn’t plan for it to be this way, but I do believe that God has a plan and I am so grateful for Michael being in my life. We are a team, we are a partnership and I absolutely love how that boy treats me. I’m just happy.”
Last week, the couple came under fire when they flaunted the usage of their private jet, sharing dozens of photos to Instagram after boarding the plane. Considering the fact we’re in the midst of a harrowing pandemic and thousands of Australians have lost their jobs, many said their decision to boast about their wealth was insensitive and distasteful.
“Just remember, things are hard for all Australians now. Don’t sell yourself short and act like this in photos. You didn’t have to show all the photos of inside the plane. That is just showing off,” one person commented on the dance instructor’s Instagram post also which included snaps of the couple alongside the plane.
“Really? A private jet? Other Australians are struggling to get home once they are here, they are in quarantine for two weeks,” another added.
