Louis Tomlinson Reveals The Sweetest Thing About That Time 1D Supported His X Factor Performance

And once again, we're crying.

With only two more days to go ’til Louis Tomlinson releases his highly anticipated new track, “Back To You”, he’s been doing a little promo here and there.

Sitting down with Noisey, Louis has once again managed to pull at our heartstrings with his candid interview.

But one part in particular is drawing us in, and unsurprisingly it’s focused on his One Direction bandmates, and how close the boys really are.

Remember when Louis’ mother Johannah Deakin passed away, and he performed “Just Hold On” at the X Factor finale only a few days later?

How could you not? We’re still in tears over it. Well, Louis admits just how much it meant to him when the boys turned up unexpectedly to support him.

“If you look at the X Factor final, when I performed my song with Steve, all the boys came to support me, and I didn’t know until a couple of hours beforehand,” Louis explained. “It wasn’t one of those stupid celebrity things where it’s like, ‘lets all get in a picture and put it on Instagram and show everyone that we’re best mates’ – we didn’t even put it online. There are always those little things that people don’t hear about.”

UGH, THE FEELS.

Even Liam Payne mentioned that particular moment in a recent interview with Dan Wooten for Bizarre Life podcast.

“We literally all flew the world over to get to that gig and Louis walked in and there was a really nice moment when we all kind of had a little huddle and it for me it was the first time in the five or six years we’ve been together now where we were actually fully best mates. We weren’t even a band that night that’s the first night we were fully like top top top lads.

“And yeah it was obviously the most sad occasion, it was bittersweet in a sense because it felt so lovely for us all to be there and yes, we are fully in this for the long run but at the same time, what a tragic, tragic, tragic loss.”

The hiatus has been loooong, but these sentiments are a reminder of how close the boys are.

Louis admits that they’re still his best mates, and that’s enough for us to keep on waiting and holding hope that one day they’ll get back together.

Until then, we can enjoy their solo projects individually and continue to support these four boys.

“Back To You” ft. Bebe Rexha comes out this Friday!!!
