Imagine swiping through Tinder, and coming across THIS FACE:
Well, as exciting as that would be, it’s pretty unrealistic since Liam Payne is very happy with his girlfriend and baby-mama Cheryl.
So unfortunately for a bunch of directioners who thought they matched with Liam, it was a fake profile.
In an interview with The BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, Liam revealed how his fans helped him uncover a catfishing debacle. According to Liam, fans started showing him the fake Tinder profile on Twitter.
The Tinder user used the name James and used a really young picture of Liam’s gorgeous face.
After Liam told the story, many Twitter users shared their disbelief that somebody would use such a high-profile celebrity as their profile pic.
However the best part is that Liam explained how the directioners tried to catch the user out, by using 1D dad jokes. However, the user, ‘James’, didn’t get the jokes at all, making Liam realise that he probably had ZERO idea who ‘Liam Payne from One Direction’ even was.
LOL!
So to be clear, if you matched THIS Liam…
…it’s most definitely not him.
