Fans went absolutely wild when the One Direction boys and their official account re-followed Zayn Malik on Twitter, suggesting that he would be joining their upcoming ten-year reunion.
However, it’s not the case.

Liam Payne, who has become the official tea-spiller of this reunion, underwent an Instagram Live with DJ Alesso where he asked him to fill Zayn’s spot in their reunion.
“I did speak to Niall again on FaceTime today though and he was outside on his balcony sunbathing and whatever.
“He’s in London as well. Most of us are in London. We’ve been trying to arrange the first group FaceTime at the moment. You can come and fill in for Zayn. Join the band.”
“I can’t say too much. Louis told me off for revealing a bit about our plans the other day. So I had a group telling off on the group chat,” he continued.
Earlier this month, Liam confirmed to The Sun that his former band One Direction were planning a special reunion project to celebrate ten years since they formed the band.
“We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice.
“To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.
“At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say.
“There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around.
“But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”
Hilariously, Liam also revealed to Alesso that Louis Tomlinson had a go at him for being a big mouth and spoiling their reunion.
