Thought Married At First Sight was a reality show? Think again! One thing we’ve learned about the incredibly successful show is that it credits its success to some very careful planning from producers.
WATCH: MAFS Mishel confirms producers feed the cast lines to say
A document obtained exclusively by The Daily Mail reveals how much dinner is served during the dinner parties… Weirdly enough, cast members are asked to bring their own food! They’re also told to eat “a substantial meal” before arriving on set.
The food we see on set is actually mainly just a prop. OK…
It reads: “You will be catered for on set. but we ask that you eat a substantial meal prior to filming and as always, you are welcome to bring snacks.”
And that darkness you see outside? Well, this might also be fake as the schedule says that talent “may have an AM call time”… For a dinner party?!?!
Another detail reads that their clothing must be “signed off” and approved by production members before they are able to film.
We’re going to assume that those production members really enjoy silver sequins…
Producers have the right to take contestants’ mobile phones off them during filming, which explains why it was such a debacle for Mikey to get access to his mobile to reveal his messages with Stacey Hampton during the reunion dinner on Tuesday Night.
What a wild, blown out of proportion show.
