Rita Ora’s new song starring Bebe Rexha, Cardi B and Charli XCX “Girls” has been copping A LOT of sh*t ever since its release.
And we can see why. It’s 2018’s version of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl”, but the entire world is 100% more woke now, so they’re not getting away with the lyrics.
First up, Hayley Kiyoko, whose fans call her “lesbian Jesus” came out and publicly slammed the song, and now, another highly esteemed artist in the LGBTQ community – Kehlani – has come forward and dissed it too.
“Every artist on the song is fantastic, and very much loved and supported by me… by all of us. but this isn’t about talent. it’s about choice,”
“hate to be THAT guy but there were many awkward slurs, quotes, and moments that were like ‘word?’ word,” she continued.
“and don’t make this personal. i have an incredible song out with one of the artists, and would love to work with the other three as well. & have met them all and respect them. there. were. harmful. lyrics.period. love y’all. 
,” she said, finishing off her rant.
