Producer’s must have known that getting Katy Perry on the show as a judge was a good idea… mainly because of the drama she was sure to bring.
And boy has she brought the drama.
Not only did she kiss an innocent young boy without his consent (raging), but now her parents have come on the show and roasted the hell out of her.
Mary Christine and Maurice Keith Hudson appeared on Sunday night’s episode and totally ripped into their daughter.
Mary first told host Ryan Seacrest what it’s like watching Katy be a judge on the show. “Well, she’s still the bird. She’s still mouthy,” she said, “and they [fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan] add wisdom to that.”
Ryan turned to Katy’s dad if she was “always mouthy” to which he replied, “Um…yeah.”
But Katy was pretty entertained by the comments, smiling.
When Maurice was asked where Katy gets the “mouthy from,” he answered with “Mum.”
“You guys!” Katy yelled at the same time. Her mum then came back in with, “She’s a middle child; they always want the most attention.”
Katy then responded, “I feel like it’s turned out OK for them”.
