When the news broke that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk split up after four years together, basically everyone assumed it was because Bradley had heart-eyes for Lady Gaga.
HOWEVER, it was actually Irina who called off the relationship, much to everyone’s surprise!
A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight, and confirmed that the ball was in Irina’s court.
“Recently, Irina decided enough is enough. She didn’t feel she was getting the level of commitment she wanted and the endless fighting made their life unbearable,” the source said. “They are very different people, and once they realised it was the baby that was holding them together, it was time to call it quits.”
“Some of their friends feel they never truly got a chance to know each other outside of being a family, and it was just all too much too fast.”
What isn’t surprising is that the pair nearly split during A Star Is Born promo, but they were “advised against it” because of how it could overshadow the movie’s release.

Irina was apparently keen to fix their relationship after the press tour was over, but it didn’t work out that way.
“Irina truly had high hopes for their future together and felt once the baby was born they would find the time to marry but that never came to fruition,” the source continued. “She wanted more from Bradley in every way. But she was unhappy and felt he spent too much time working.”
