The most unexpected alliance has just formed, and everyone is confused.
Iggy Azelea and Azealia Banks have had intense beef for six years.
They’ve publicly dragged each other online, and even had death threats from Azealia Banks to Iggy. Woah.
So it’s no wonder the fans are extremely stunned that the two have decided to work together.
The news came from Iggy herself, posting on Snapchat:
“Public Service Announcement, Azealia is going to be on DD [Digital Distortion, Iggy’s new album]. We are collaborating.
“Burn your wigs now or preserve them in your freezer for release day.”
She then went onto Twitter to defend her decision.
“I dont expect you guys to understand why i would collaborate with someone who has publicly said they hope i die.
“This has been something extremely negative for so long, if there is a way to make it positive and also be creative together, im here for it.”

Speaking to Elle Canada last year, Iggy revealed that she “still hated” Banks, responding to her criticism of “keeping silent” on “black issues”.
“I think the Azealia Banks thing is what really started it all,” she told the publication. “We don’t like each other on a personal level, and that has gone on for many years — before the Black Lives Matter incident happened.
“So when I dismissed her, people started to think that I dismissed the whole movement, but I wasn’t trying to dismiss Black Lives Matter — I was trying to dismiss her because it’s our personal s**t.
“Even though I still hate Azealia Banks, I wish I had said it in a way that didn’t make people think I was oblivious to the movement.”
BUT, in June Iggy released a statement on Snapchat which declared she didn’t hate Banks anymore, in which Banks reposted on her Instagram.
It’s a seriously mature move for the two girls to put their differences behind them, and use their platform and creativity to share love instead of hate.
Maybe Taylor Swift and Katy Perry will take note, and possibly work on something together in the future too…
