Hilary Duff will always be Lizzie McGuire to us.
Long before she was Kelsey Peters in Younger, Hilary was bubbly teenager, Lizzie, who spent her time hanging out with her besties Miranda and Gordo and having her internal thoughts acted out by an animated alter-ego. It’s been 15 long years since the show ended and Hilary says she’s ready for a reboot of our fave series.
“Honestly, the idea sounded terrible two years ago when reboots were happening, but you never know,” Hilary told Buzzfeed. “I loved Lizzie McGuire and it might be really fun to see where she is now.” WE ARE SCREAMING.
In 2003, the masterpiece that is The Lizzie McGuire Movie was released, where Lizzie finally smooched Gordo after what felt like years of sexual tension. She also performed onstage with an Italian pop star, but whatevs. We would love to know if Lizzie and Gordo lasted the distance? Or did high school prove too tricky for them? WE HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
While a reboot probably isn’t going to happen anytime soon – considering Hil is hella busy with Younger and the fact that she just announced she is pregnant with her second child – but we’re still holding out hope.
