Hailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan did their very best to keep their relationship a secret for quite a while… but now they don’t really seem to give a sh*t about that.

So we don’t think they’ll care that their good friend Shawn Mendes totally just outed them.
At the the 2018 VMAs, Shawn was asked about their relationship… where he was shocked that people didn’t know about them, thinking it was “common knowledge.”
“I thought this was common knowledge! But I guess it was common knowledge for me since I’m friends with them both,” he told Access.
He continued, “Niall and Hailee — they’re two of my favorite people in the whole world. Niall is one of my greatest friends and Hailee is one of the first people… you know, when she first started out, I was one of the first people she worked with in music and I love them both.”
