While the “Lights Up” singer pretended to forget the former One Direction band member’s name, we don’t think his mispronunciation of Shawn Mendes’ was intentional, which has Twitter in stitches.
In one hilarious sketch on the show, Harry plays a social media manager at a food company who has the hots for many male celebrities, including Nick Jonas and Shawn.
Not the best with technology, he accidentally uses the food company’s Instagram as his own, posting thirsty comments on their photos.
Unfortunately, he sent a suggestive photo to Shawn Mendeez, not Shawn Mendes.
Others believed it was an honour for Harry to mispronounce the name, suggesting Shawn change it asap.
Is this genuinely how Harry thinks Shawn’s name is pronounced, or was he being a little sassy? We’re going to go with a little bit of both.
