There is a major pay gap problem in Hollywood right now, but thankfully, artists are speaking up more than ever and bringing the issue to light.
Most recently, the Haim sisters.
Danielle, Este and Alana Haim have decided to fire their agent after they found out that they were victims to a MAJOR pay gap issue at a recent festival.
As revealed by Grazia, the girls said that, We had been told that our fee was very low because you played at the festival in the hope that you’d get played on the radio,” Danielle said, believing that the explanation was quite reasonable. “We didn’t think twice about it, but we later found out that someone was getting paid 10 times more than us. And because of that we fired our agent.”

“That’s why I love my sisters so much. I trust them with my f*cking life,” Alana said. “We’re all in this together. But it’s scary out there and it’s f*cked up. It’s f*cked up not even to be paid half the same amount. But to be paid a tenth of that amount of money? It was insane.”
Thankfully, the girls were strong enough to speak up about the issue.
