When we found out the new The Vampire Diaries spinoff was coming, we were screaming (along with pretty much the rest of the world).
Now, the CW has released the first official trailer for the series Legacies at a panel during Comic Con.
FINALLY!
The series centres around Hope Mikaelson — the vampire-witch-werewolf hybrid daughter of Hayley Marshall-Kenner and Klaus Mikaelson.
It also follows the supernatural adventures of students at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.
The official trailer runs us through a brief history of The Vampire Diaries and its first spinoff series, The Originals, reminding us all why it was so freaking amazing!
It then flashes to a slide that says, “In 2018, ‘The Originals” will say goodbye…as a new generation is born.”
It then flashes to Hope with familiar face – Alaric Saltzman.
“This is a story of magic, of secrets and betrayals, first loves and first heartbreaks,” Hope says.
“It’s a story of friendship and family, of battling our own demons so we can face the monsters around us. This is a story, our story, of trying to be normal in a world that is anything but. The only question is, will we be its heroes or its villains?”
So. Much. YES!
We seriously can’t wait.
